Shah Rukh Khan Discharged from Ahmedabad Hospital After Heat Stroke and Dehydration

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been discharged from Ahmedabad’s KD Hospital after being admitted due to heat stroke and dehydration. The actor, who was in Ahmedabad to support his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their playoff match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), reportedly fell ill on Tuesday due to the extreme temperatures, which soared to a maximum of 45.2 degrees Celsius.

Sources close to the actor indicate that Shah Rukh likely suffered from severe dehydration and heat stroke. Despite the health scare, KKR secured a spot in the IPL final with a commanding eight-wicket victory over SRH. Video footage from the match showed Khan celebrating energetically, which might have exacerbated his condition.

Shah Rukh was accompanied in Ahmedabad by his daughter Suhana Khan, younger son AbRam, and manager Pooja Dadlani. KKR’s co-owners Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta, along with Suhana’s close friends Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Navya Nanda, and Agastya Nanda, were also present at the Narendra Modi Stadium, cheering for the team.

Upon learning about Shah Rukh’s health issues, Gauri Khan, his wife, and Juhi Chawla, along with her husband Jay Mehta, rushed to the hospital. Chawla assured fans that Shah Rukh is recovering well and is expected to return to support KKR in the IPL final on Sunday in Chennai. “Shah Rukh was not feeling too well last night but he is being attended to and was feeling much better this evening. God willing, he will soon be up, and in the stands on the weekend, cheering the team, as we play the finals,” Chawla said.

The 58-year-old actor has a history of overcoming health challenges with resilience. Over the years, he has sustained various injuries during film shoots, including a shoulder injury and toe fracture while filming “Ra. One” in 2011, head and face injuries on the set of “Happy New Year” in 2014, and a knee injury during “Fan” in 2016. Earlier in his career, he suffered three fractured ribs while shooting for “Darr” in 1993 and a hairline fracture on his knee during “Koyla” in 1997. He also underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder before the release of “My Name is Khan” in 2010.

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest health incident was managed promptly, and he was discharged from KD Hospital on the same day he was admitted. The hospital spokesperson confirmed his discharge but did not specify the exact cause of his hospitalization. The actor’s recovery has reassured his vast fanbase, who were initially concerned about his well-being.

Shah Rukh was last seen on the big screen in the film “Dunki” earlier this year. He is set to begin production on “King,” an upcoming crime thriller where he will reportedly portray a character with shades of grey, reminiscent of his acclaimed role in “Don.”

Fans eagerly await Shah Rukh’s return to the stands to cheer on KKR in the IPL final, showcasing once again his unwavering spirit and dedication to his team.
